Hamel Rodeo & Bull Ridin' Bonanza est. 1981

What began as a small event to put Hamel on the map and raise a little money for local non-profits has grown into the largest professional rodeo in Minnesota. The first couple years were held in the parking lot of the Medina Ballroom. When the Medina Inn was built the rodeo moved to it's current location at the Corcoran Lions Park just North of Hamel.

The rodeo is owned and operated by five local non-profit groups. We have no paid staff thanks to the hundreds of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly throughout the year to make it all happen. 100% of the proceeds are shared among these organizations to better our community.

On behalf of the Hamel Lions Club, Heinzen-Ditter VFW, John Pohlker American Legion, Hamel Volunteer Fire Department, and Lord of Life Military Family Support Ministry we thank you our loyal fans!
